Our market was so dull last week that it was hardly worthy of a report ; the en tire sales of bright tobacco for the whole week hardly footed up what would be considered a good days work. Manufacturers are buying very sparingly and order men are doing nothing. Light shipments usually follow light sales. At any rate this has been the case recently and our stock for several days past has been increas ing, . -. V The first sale of new West Virginia bright tobacco occurred to-day. . The quality of the offerings was very dis appointing. Prices (considering qual ity) were very good. It looks as if old tobaccos will be very dull from now until after 1st January. ' j. M. T.
